Will the Silver Bullet software run on a PC or Mac?
Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL) is the software used by the Silver Bullet Professional. It's Mac compatible; no partitions needed. A customer can design using Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw and auto import into SCAL to cut their designs. It works perfectly on all PC platforms.
What kind of support can I expect with your machines?
Many of our customers say we offer the best support in the industry. We offer a dedicated learning center that teaches you how to use the machine – from taking it out of the box and setting it up to learning how to operate the machine with success. We also provide instructional videos to teach you how to use the software. Additionally, we have a manned forum where you can ask questions and search topics of interest or need. If you cannot find the answers you need, send an email to contact us and tech support will get back to you in a timely manner.
I ordered my Silver Bullet, what do I do now?
First of all, please NEVER order a machine with the intent of immediately filling an order with whatever you may be selling. It takes a bit of time to learn to use the machine, and if you have a deadline to meet, it spells disaster every time. Give yourself the time to learn the Silver Bullet. Use the Learning Center to familiarize yourself with the machine, get comfortable using it. Learn to cut basic materials first, then move onto Print and Cut. Try different mediums to understand how they cut, score, engrave, and/or emboss.
Taking the time to thoroughly go through the Learning Center before requesting technical support. Our support team knows if you have utilized the Learning Center. You need to know the terminology or they cannot effectively assist you. We want you to have a positive learning experience by taking advantage of the support materials provided in the Learning Center and Forum.
I read that it has a steep learning curve.
The machine itself is not difficult to learn to use. People confuse the software with the machine, if you are good with software, you'll be fine. Once you have paid for the machine you'll be sent several emails. The first email will contain your tracking number information, the second email will be online access and software code to run the machine, and lastly, an email containing a link and your login credentials to our Silver Bullet Learning Center. You're automatically registered with the purchase of a machine. Our Silver Bullet Learning Center contains instructional videos and tutorials to teach you to use the machine. We get very few questions once a person has thoroughly been through the learning center.
What will the machine cut?
Card stock, paper, chipboard, rubber, gasket material, vinyl, thin films, stencil material, fabric, Tyvek, glass paper, paper cloth, laminating mediums, thin veneer (both regular and sticky back), tissue paper, closed cell foamcore, mylar, fake fur, clay, magnetic material, shrink plastic, template plastic, teflon, felt, shelf liner, leather (must verify with us what type) metals (must verify with us), fondant, wood paper, thin balsa wood, sail cloth, coffee filter, flag material, and so much more. The determining factors are the thickness or the density of the media.
